Situated along Georgia’s colonial coast is the city of Richmond Hill. Just 20 miles from Savannah, Richmond Hill’s adventurous roots run deep. Once home to Fort Argyle, a British colonial outpost established in 1733, the community still serves as a gateway to much of the south.

Richmond Hill benefitted from real growth in the 1990’s that led to the construction of a new civic center, city hall and police station all of which are situated in J.F. Gregory Park. Perhaps that community focus is responsible for the lower than average crime rates in the area.

Gregory Park hosts a number of other community events such as the National Night out (August), the Easter Extravaganza (varies by the year), a Memorial Day observance (May), an old Time 4th of July Festival with fireworks, a pumpkin patch(October), and a Chili Cook off (December).
