This holiday season, Richmond Hill will host the Annual Chili Cook-Off on November 30th followed by the famous Richmond Hill Hometown Holiday Parade on Saturday, December 1.  This great family event starts at 10 am and makes it way through Richmond Hill's downtown with plenty of excitement for everyone!

The chili cook off is known far and wide as the place to be every holiday season! There will be live entertainment, food, rides and more!  The awards ceremony will declare one great chef the right to boast that they have “the best tasting chili in town!”

The 2012 Christmas Parade Grand Marshal is Vietnam Veteran Donald Singleton. A Richmond Hill native, Singleton attended the George Washington Carver School from elementary through high school. He served in the United States Army from 1966-69 and served nearly 20 months in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. He also served in the Air National Guard and the US Coast Guard. Come celebrate the holidays with a real American hero and shake hands with Donald Singleton!

You will find plenty to do in Richmond Hill any time of the year. There are numerous historical sites to enjoy like the Ford Plantation, the Mary-Martha Chapel, the Richmond Hill School Teacherage and The Bryan County Court House.
